Welcome to the Community Assessment Online

The United Way of the Capital Region, Harrisburg Regional Chamber, West Shore Chamber of Commerce, The Foundation for Enhancing Communities and Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry counties partnered to conduct a comprehensive assessment of life in our community. “Life in the Capital Region: 2014 Assessment of Our Community” examined health and human service issues in Cumberland, Dauphin and Perry counties through the lens of health, education, income and basic needs – the building blocks for a quality life.

The assessment provided a wealth of information for our community to better understand human service issues, challenges and opportunities. Based on the work of the assessment, this Community Dashboard has been created to serve as a web-based resource for residents in the Capital Region to access data and information on key indicators that impact the lives of us all.

Get your free flu shot and a free slice of pizza!

Reservations are suggested but not required.  Please register each person over the age of 3 who will be in the car and is planning to receive a shot.

Please wear loose fitting clothing.  Adults must be able to access the middle part of their arm to receive a shot.  Please, leave your pets at home.

Hershey Area - All Things Diversity is a free series of programs coordinated by Derry Township and The Hershey Story, The Museum on Chocolate Avenue. The November installment will feature Dr. Paul Haidet who will present on the topic of unconscious bias. Unconscious biases are social stereotypes about certain groups of people that individuals form outside of their own conscious awareness.
